SnapPray ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use the SnapPray iOS app.

What We Collect

SnapPray collects minimal data to provide its service:

Photos — when you use Snap to Pray, your photo is sent to our server for AI analysis. Photos are processed and immediately discarded. We do not store your photos.
Prayer text — prayers you generate are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We log anonymous prayer category counts (e.g. "feeling — anxious") to improve our prayer library. No prayer text is stored on our servers.
Device identifier — an anonymous device ID is used to track prayer streaks and prevent abuse. It is not linked to your identity.
Subscription status — if you subscribe to SnapPray Premium, Apple processes your payment. We receive only confirmation of your subscription status.

How We Use AI

SnapPray uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate personalized prayers. When you request an AI prayer, your context (photo description, mood, or prayer focus) is sent to Anthropic's API. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data. We do not send any personally identifying information to Anthropic.

Camera & Photo Library

SnapPray requests access to your camera and photo library solely to enable the Snap to Pray feature. Photos are only accessed when you explicitly choose to take or select one. We never access your photos in the background.

Notifications

SnapPray may request permission to send prayer reminders. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. You can disable them at any time in your iPhone Settings.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email, or any personally identifying information
We do not track your location
We do not sell your data to any third party — ever
We do not display advertising
We do not share your data with advertisers

Data Storage & Security

Your prayers and personal data are stored locally on your device. Anonymous usage statistics are stored on Railway, our cloud infrastructure provider, and are protected by industry-standard security measures.

Children's Privacy

SnapPray is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us.

Your Rights

Since SnapPray stores your prayer history locally on your device, you can delete all your data at any time by deleting the app. For any questions about your data, contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of SnapPray after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
